About US
The Hamburg Fine Arts Foundation Corporation (HFAF) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting students, schools, and our community in realizing their full potential through the power of visual and performing arts.

Our Mission
The mission of the HFAF is to work in coordination with community stakeholders to promote visual and performing arts and to help instill in our
students and community a lifelong passion for the same. The HFAF engages in fundraising and providing creative opportunities to promote
these goals.

The HFAF Mission
To be a strong support organization to aspiring students, amateur artists,
and our community as they develop and pursue their lifelong passions for
visual and performing arts, both personally and professionally.

Why
You’ve probably enjoyed a concert or theatrical performance, taken a moment to appreciate a great book or painting, yet many aspiring artists with great potential go unnoticed, have difficulty engaging in the right circles or
miss opportunities to further their passions due to financial or other roadblocks along the way. Helping artists achieve their potential provides numerous individual, economic and community rewards.

According to research funded by the National Endowment for the Arts
and the Americans for the Arts, The Arts can promote health and vitality to
both the artists and their communities.

For the individual, the arts can:
• Instill a sense of passion and purpose.
• Teach individual discipline and teamwork.
• Inspire imagination.
• Cultivate a sense of family.
• Develop creative decision-making.
• Promote self-confidence.
• Improves individual emotional and mental health.

In many cases it is an avenue to careers in the arts or develops
skills and life-lessons that provide strong foundations for future
careers and relationships.

For the community, the arts can:
• Build healthy, vibrant and equitable communities.
• Enables diverse forms of arts and culture to thrive.
• Help ensure broad accessibility and public engagement with the arts culturally, socially, educationally & economically.
• Positively impact the economic health and growth of a community through arts programming.
• Support and advance arts and culture at the local level bringing communities together.
• Connect government and businesses to unify communities.
• Provides an avenue to developing a healthy, creative and confident population.

Making A Difference
→ Making Grants to the Local Arts Community. Community Theater or Symphony, Arts Festivals & Individual Artists.

→ Present Programming. Art Classes, Lectures, Exhibitions

→ Managing Cultural Facilities. Performance or Exhibition Spaces, Museums, Arts Incubators, Live/work-Spaces

→ Provide Services to Artists & Arts Organizations. Professional Development, Mentoring, Visibility and Advocacy, Support, Technical Assistance

→ Participate & Lead Community Cultural Planning. Assessing community’s cultural needs and mapping an implementation plan.

→ Advocate & Promote Arts-Friendly Policies. Ensure funding and government policies that support the arts and arts education.

→ Forge Partnerships with Elected, Business and Other Community Leaders. Chambers Of Commerce, School Districts, Faith-based and Other Arts Organizations.

→ Manage a Public Art Program. Public Art Installations, Percent For
Art Programs, Beautify Community Parks and Neighborhoods
